DetaiBio's Hot-Start Taq Polymerase is a next-generation, chemically modified thermostable DNA polymerase designed to prevent non-specific amplification and improve PCR accuracy. Compared to antibody-based hot-start enzymes, this formulation offers 10× higher sensitivity, faster activation, and enhanced specificity, while eliminating the risk of animal-derived DNA contamination.
The enzyme remains completely inactive at room temperature due to chemical modification and is fully activated after a 10-minute incubation at 95°C. This allows for clean, precise amplification—even in complex templates.

Activity & Purity
- One unit (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme that incorporates 10 nmol of dNTP into acid-insoluble DNA at 72°C within 30 minutes using CHO DNA and primers.
- No detectable endonuclease or exonuclease activity after incubation of 10 U enzyme with 1 µg pBR322 or λDNA at 72°C for 1 hour.
- Possesses 5′→3′ exonuclease activity, compatible with real-time fluorescence-based qPCR applications.
